Aufgaben:
As a Quality Manager, you will report directly to the Head of Cluster Aluminia Bricks (Plant Manager) with a dotted-line connection to Regional Quality. Your responsibilities include managing all quality-related aspects within the plant, such as maintaining compliance with DIN ISO 9001, overseeing internal quality control from raw materials to product release and managing customer complaints. Leading a dedicated team, you will drive the continuous development of quality awareness inititiatives by leveraging the necessary tools and working collaboratively with Regional Quality and Plant Management. Additionally, you will focus on improving the use of circular raw materials, reducing production scrap, and enhancing processes in alignment with Lean & Production. Working closely with Operations, R&D, Recycling and Technical Marketing, you will manage and support quality projects, with travel required only on a planned basis. Report and steer on site KPIs, ensuring alignment with corporate quality objectives Develop, implement, and maintain the plant's Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO standards and RHI Magnesita guidelines Lead quality initiatives, including customer audits, non-conformity reporting, and improvement projects based on management review outcomes Drive continuous improvement processes using tools such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and FMEA, while fostering a strong Quality Culture on-site Provide training and support to plant staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices Build a strong network within the EU region, sharing knowledge and promoting the rollout of quality standards and guidelines
Qualifikationen:
Communicative, problem-solving oriented and innovative A technical university degree (bachelor's or master's) with a focus on ceramics, material science, quality management, process engineering, chemistry or similar Several years of relevant working experience in the field of quality management and a few years of leadership experience Proficient in auditing and managing environmental systems Very good handling of MS Office, Power BI and ideally also SAP Languages: German - fluent, English - fluent Nice to have: Statistics, Lean and Six Sigma knowledge
